TEEN BLUSH - 2019

Two years on from their EP Familiar Spirits, TEEN BLUSH returns with 2019, a collection of demos, b-sides and rarities. The Chicago lo-fi dream-pop project has always chased the inexpressible part of nostalgia and the angst that arrives alongside it, setting vast, shadowy, 80s-inspired synth against moody, echoed vocals.

Upbeat, soothing tracks like You Wonder, Chasing Days and Tennis Court bring light and levity, while 1981 and Ramona pull toward something darker and more immediate. In between, Falling and Fog Over the Lake act as sonic adhesive, holding the whole thing together. 2019 pulls from many rivers, but it all flows into the same body of work TEEN BLUSH has been building over the past few years.
