Half Life is Josh Hwang's fourth CASTLEBEAT album, written, recorded and produced in his garage. "We Can Make This Right" and "Looking For Something" pare back the signature washed-out dream pop for crisp, almost Marr-esque guitar, while "All The Time" is the best 80s synth-pop track the decade forgot to write. Lo-fi kept for its warmth rather than in spite of it.
