Mireal is an indie pop duo from Nice, France. Blending lush synths, groovy basslines, and dreamy guitars, their debut EP sounds like the transition from a warm, late summer afternoon to a sunset-catalyzed night, with a mix of upbeat and downtempo stunners that feel as intimate as they are complex.
Opener “Lost in Everything I Know,” soft and atmospheric, with reverb-heavy vocals, allows a tentative step into Mireal’s soundscape, moving through to the 70s inspired “Behind the Glass” and the slightly sultry, waltz-like “Letting Go.” The smooth, upbeat “Out of Frame” begins the descent from day to night, and “Paper Plane” closes out the EP with a sultry, yet masterful saxophone solo, with a tone that brings an added emphasis to the project name.
