Hause Plants is a jangle pop band from Lisbon, Portugal featuring Guilherme Machado Correia, João Simões, Dani Oliveira Royo, and João António Nunes da Silva. The quartet operates like one autonomous body in their 2022 EP Sleeping With Weird People, the stunning follow up to their 2021 debut EP Film For Color Photos.
On their third EP Field Trip to Coney Island, however, the group fully embraces their post-punk side; tracks like “I Think I Might” and “Lush” show their meticulous focus on composition and lyricism. Capturing a nostalgic mood that is somehow both carefree and irrevocably attached to life, in this EP Hause Plants express a charm unmatched.
